Millions of digital invoices are sent each day from one company to another or to public administration. Most of them cannot be processed electronically by the receiving customers because of different data formats. Standardization could save millions of Euro but is not easy to achieve.

Should public procurement go ahead and define an e-invoice standard for its suppliers or should there be one standard for all industries and customers?

Is UBL the appropriate future technical format and will it substitute existing EDIFACT and propriety formats?

These questions will be discussed at the workshop based on the expertise and experience of speakers involved in real life cases in different countries.

After a key note speech held by Mr. Herbert Kubicek, two real life case studies will be presented to the audience. Afterwards, the workshop participants will work on the cases and possible solutions will be presented.
